The first fruits principle - Pastor david okoye

“Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and they presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9–10.

When God demands something from you, understand that he doesn’t need it; rather what he wants to do is multiply what you gave for your good. The scriptures didn’t mince words when they stated that your barns will be filled with plenty; as long as you honor God with your substance and first fruits.

The principle of first fruits was not a suggestion from God but a commandment (Exodus 23:16, 19); and God can’t do anything for you that goes against his fixed principles.

First fruits

Your first fruit isn’t to be negotiated and is such that shouldn’t even be delayed (Exodus 22:29).

Many believe that the first fruit principle ended in the Old Testament, but this isn’t so. This is one financial principle that cuts across all generations and ages. As long as the earth exists, the principles of sowing and reaping must continue.

Also, it was this same principle God used to redeem us. The first that opened the matrix of Christianity was holy and because of this, we automatically became holy; even without doing holy works. If this simple but powerful principle worked on our redemption and salvation, then you can tell what would happen when it is applied to every facet of your life.

The first that opens the matrix of all you have and do, belongs to God and not to you. Your first fruit is your insurance for every facet of your future. If you don’t give God what is in your hands, you can’t get from him. It is until you obey his principles, only then will he release amazing wealth to you.

DECLARATION
I obey the principles of Zion and I’m a prompt doer of what is needed to be
done. My future is insured because I obey the first fruits principle.
