“Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will
bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him”.
Jeremiah 49:8

The above underlined scripture shows us the
process involved and the necessary requirements an individual has to go
through in order to attain the extraordinary Christian life: flee, turn back and dwell deep”.

As an individual, temptations to sin are bound to come, and the
fact that you are a christian doesn’t mean you are immune to them
either. The bible in 1 Timothy 6:11, “But thou, O man of God, flee these
things: and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love,
patience and meekness” .

The God child has got to learn how to flee the
inappropriate and unedifying things of life. If you have learnt to FLEE,
the next step is to turn back to the ways of God, 1 Timothy 6:11 calls
it to “follow after”.

It is not enough to just turn back and follow
after, you will need to DWELL DEEP in them and in God’s word and in His
presence. Only then can you boldly declare as Jesus did in John 14:30 “…
for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me”.

God’s intention has always been for us to be rooted and founded in him.
In every day of your life, make a personal commitment to

  • Flee every lust
  • Turn back to God’s ways
  • Dwell deep in God, His word and His presence.

solely on building myself up in the right way and establishing a firm
foundation and relationship with God.
