“Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly” Hebrews 13:18
The writer of the book of Hebrews displayed a quality which is rarely seen in the lives of our leaders today: humility.
He wasn’t too full of himself to ask for prayers. Some leaders feel because they are anointed they can never make a mistake, are never wrong and therefore would be demeaning to ask those under them to pray for them.
Even a minister can lose his place in God if he isn’t careful. Those under you can easily see your flaws, it would do you good if you humbly ask them to pray for you in their spare time and they would consider it an honor and a privilege.
God favours the humble.
Proverbs 3:34(AMP) says “Though he scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, yet he gives his undeserved favor to the low (in rank), the humble, and the afflicted”. God is attracted to a humble heart. Never be too full of yourself to the extent that you can’t accept correction or that you feel you are always right. People are bound to make mistakes even the anointed. Be humble in your dealings in your office.
“God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” James 4:6
DECLARATION:
