Saturday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 28 May, 2016) - The Blessing

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” Genesis 12:3

Our opening scripture is a promise God gave to Abraham- “…bless them
that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee…
” What a life! In other
words, for a man to be blessed, all he needs to do is bless Abraham.
Abraham became the custodian of the blessing.

The AMP rendering of the
above text says “And I will bless (do
good for, benefit) those who bless you. And I will curse (that is,
subject to my wrath and judgment) the one who curses (despises,
dishonors, has contempt for) you. And in you all the families (nations)
of the earth will be blessed.

Galatians 3:29 says “And if ye be
Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise
”. The promise of God to Abraham is the foundation of a God-child
being the blessing. God seeks for men that He would make the blessing.
Being the blessing is God’s idea of blessing His children.

The area
where a man gets blessed is accessible by many. Even unbelievers have
access to it. All they need to do is follow the principles of seeding.
Matthew 10:40 says “He that receiveth you receiveth me; and he that
receiveth me receiveth him that sent me
”. This scripture tells us that
we are God’s physical representative on earth.

We are standing not on
our own premise. Take a look at Abraham; his wealth contested with the
wealth of nations. We are custodians of God’s blessings. Glory to God!

DECLARATION
I have abundance of everything in everything. I have much more than I need. Nations are blessed through me.
