Monday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 12th September 2016) – Refuse Laziness & Procastination

“Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall they poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man”. Proverbs 6:10-11

It is amazing that our lives are written out in Word of God. All you need to live a successful life by God’s standards are laid out in the Word of God.

But, the fact that God decreed a thing does not necessarily mean that it will come pass; you have a responsibility to ensure it does. You see, God expects you to enforce His will and authority on the earth. That God has decreed upon your life that you will be promoted and expanded doesn’t mean it will just happen with the snap of your fingers.

Many thinks the things of God work like magic but God is not a magician. He is a calculated and principled King. Psalms 90:17 tells us “…and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it

It is obvious what God is going to establish. “the work of your hands” not the words of your mouth or the wishes of your heart. This shows that no matter how much God wants to prosper you, He is handicapped without a work to prosper you in. Your faith is not enough, there has got to be a corresponding action. This is the evidence of your faith.

For this reason JAMES 2:18 tells ” Yea, a man say, thou hast faith, and i have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and i will shew thee my faith by my works” Refuse to be lazy, it ushers in poverty.

As eager as God is to prosper His children, he needs them to be in positions and situations where He can conveniently bless them without the world pointing accusing fingers. Give God something to bless and multiply on your behalf.

I refuse to be lazy, from this day i choose to get busy with the work of my hands.

Psalms 90:16-17
