“Let all things be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40

In this Christian race, I have come to understand that the very things our human mind terms as simple and irrelevant are what produces and has the most effect in our lives.

There are very little things God tells you that can keep you on the right way; one of which is decency. Take a look at what the AMP translation of our opening text says, “But all things should be done with propriety and in an orderly fashion”.

Decency is synonymous with propriety. Propriety means moderation, simplicity and meticulousness. Decency is not just cleanliness. Cleanliness is just a character of decency. God cannot achieve anything in the life of a man who is indecent and disorderly.

There is a great need for decency and orderliness in the house of God. The house of God transcends the church: it has to do with your life. God expects us to do things without confusion, discord and tumult God cannot dwell in a disorderly environment.

Titus 1:5 says, “For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee”

Decency is not judged by your ideology: it is judged by God’s Spirit. Your culture and environment should not determine your decency.

Disorderliness shows up in very little things. Disorderliness can affect a man so much that it becomes a spiritual issue.

Most of the times, the Holy Ghost refuses to do things in a man’s life as a result of his disorderliness. If God observes your disorderliness, He retreats from you. The place of orderliness in your life is directly proportional to the voice of the Holy Ghost.

For an excellent man, decency and orderliness is an easy feat to achieve. Taking another look at our opening text, we see the words “all things”. God is telling us that orderliness should not just affect a part of your life but every single facet of it.

Your talk pattern, dress pattern and even your thought pattern should be decent and orderly.

For your life to move forward, you have to do things in an orderly fashion. Disorderliness and indecency is a spirit.

If you do not withdraw from disorderly people, you buy their values and in the long run, accept their spirit.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 says, “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.” We are Sons of God; you have got to be decent and orderly because your Father is.

DECLARATION
I have an excellent mind. I am decent and orderly in ALL things. Amen!
