“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices” 2 Corinthians 2:11

In this Christian race, there is no middle line. Every single person on earth is recognized by one of the two kingdoms.

You either belong to the kingdom of God or the kingdom of the devil.

Our opening scripture is showing us that if we are ignorant of the way Satan operates, he would take advantage of it. Understand this, if you do not understand and recognize the methods of the devil, he would take advantage of you till you are done for. The devil does not have pity or compassion on a man. When he starts, he starts to finish. If you do not understand the wiles of the devil, he would continue to steal away God’s blessings from you and in so doing, degenerate your Christian life.

God expects us to know the way the devil operates. The devices of the devil are so simple. They show up in very little things that we are faced with every single day. One of which is the power of choice.

The things of God should always come first in the life of a man. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The devil knows this and because of that, he brings up different choices that would contradict that of the kingdom of God.

God would not impose anything on a man; He allows him to decide. The Holy Ghost would not empower you to make the choice; it solely depends on you.

A lot of Christians think that serving God with the capacity with which they serve makes them safe. That is a huge misconception. Serving God in a great capacity does not make you safe or secured but makes you more vulnerable.

A Christian who serves in a great capacity automatically becomes a target to the devil. Take for instance, a building. There are some parts of a building that when you destroy, the whole building or a huge part of it would come crumbling down. This is how the devil operates. He knows those in the house of God that if he can get to, a huge part of the work is destabilized.

Ephesians 6:10-11 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Your standing firm lies in you taking up all of God’s armor. Only then, can you stand against the methods of the devil.

I am not ignorant of the devices of Satan. I take up the whole armor of God; therefore, I stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:10-17
