Joy is a state of mind that is not controlled by circumstances. Joy is a thing of the Spirit; it exists in the spiritual realm.

So many Christians have misinterpreted joy to be happiness. Joy is not happiness; happiness is simply an expression of joy.

Happiness is a feeling, it is temporal; but joy, is a quality of the Spirit of God that lives inside you.

Galatians 5:22 says,

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.”

Joy is not determined by feelings or emotions; it is determined by the Spirit of God.

Our opening scripture shows us that joy is a peculiarity of the presence of God. There is a particular environment that is peculiar to the kingdom of God. That is the environment of joy. Without joy, it is impossible to live the life of an ambassador.

An ambassador is one that brings the life of His kingdom/country to another kingdom and establishes his kingdom in that kingdom. When you do not have joy, it would be impossible for you to live and bring the life of Zion down here to the earth.

There is an operation of joy that all Christians should be aware of. The devil knows the significance of joy more than a lot of believers. This is why the first thing the devil would do to crumble your purpose is to steal your joy.

He knows that without joy, you cannot achieve anything in God. Isaiah 12:3 says,

“Therefore with joy shall ye draw waters out of the wells of salvation.”

Water is the substance of life. Without water, existence would be impossible. Science tells us that the earth and even the human body is composed more of water. This shows how significant and how important water is.

The same way water revives, preserves, refreshes and nourishes a man, so does salvation. Joy is the only tool that would allow you fully enjoy and harness the bounties of salvation. Picture joy as the bucket you use to fetch out all the things that salvation has for you.

Without joy, it is impossible to live a successful Christian life. Joy is an attitude of heaven.

DECLARATION
I take up the attitude of joy. Nothing and no one can ever steal my joy. I stay joyful!
