Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 4th May 2017) – Embrace The Future

So many Christians get scared when you ask them what their plan for the future is. To them, the future is something they dread. But you see, what your future would be all lies on you. You choose and decide what type of future you want for yourself.

From our opening text, we see that there is an end God has designed and predestined for every one of His own. 

Your future has been planned by God; all you have to do is walk into that expected end.

But then, how exactly can a man walk into that God-designed future? First, you have got to live accurately, purposefully and worthily. 

Scripture tells us in Ephesians 5:15;

It is a big error for you as a God-child to live for nothing. You cannot just exist. Every step of your life should be geared towards fulfilling purpose. In living purposefully, everything you do must have a purpose. Procrastination and negligence always negate purpose. 

In living accurately, there are silly mistakes you should never make. These types of mistakes could reroute your way to the expected end. You also have to be valued enough for what you want. This is what living worthily entails. 

Your living worthily shouldn’t start when you arrive at success; rather, it should begin on your road to success. Learn to start taking up the attitude of success. Talk it, live it, dress it, plan it, think it, BE IT!

In embracing the future, you also have to be wise as Ephesians 5:15 tells. A wise man is sensible and intelligent. So many Christians are unwise. All they do is speak in unknown tongues letting several opportunities pass through their fingers. 

The Holy Ghost loves working with intelligent people. 

Intelligence is not all about education; it is a product of diligence. Intelligence causes a man to be detailed. God would never take a man through a way his intelligence has not accessed. The Spirit of God is a plus for you. He knows your future better than anyone. For every time you activate Him, He quickens your intelligence.

I refuse to be vague and foolish in working with the will of God. I live purposefully, accurately and worthily. My future is great!
