“Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”- 2 Corinthians 2:14

The AMP rendering of the above text says;

“But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere. ”

It is important you understand the ways of God.

A lot of Christians are oblivious to the fact that they ignorantly displease God because they have failed to understand His ways. It is important to know how God sees you.

God sees everyone of His own as an existing entity for purpose. Therefore, you have to please God in your everyday activities.

The proceeding verses of our opening text says;

“For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one [we are] the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who [is] sufficient for these things?” (2 Corinthians 2:15-16).

The AMP rendering puts the above text as thus;

“For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing: To the latter it is an aroma [wafted] from death to death [a fatal odor, the smell of doom]; to the former it is an aroma from life to life [a vital fragrance, living and fresh]. And who is qualified (fit and sufficient) for these things? [Who is able for such a ministry? We?]”

God sees you as the perfume that gives him the same spiritual sensory as Jesus did. As we let out the sweet savor of Christ, God inhales it. You take the natural fragrance of a man by wearing his clothes over and over again. For you to take up the fragrance of Jesus, you have to take up (and wear) Christ’s righteousness.

God reaches out to righteous men.

Righteousness attracts the presence of God. When God smells a sweet savor, it satisfies something within Him. How God perceives you determines how he responds to you.
