Ambassadors Diet Headlines

Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 14th June, 2017) – Better days ahead

Share this story:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6

No day ever passes without reports of death, suicide, rape, armed robbery, kidnap, cruelty and killings.

We live in a time when the world has known more deadly attacks, more deadly diseases, more wars, famine and natural disasters. Not a day passes without the news reporting cases of suicide bomb blasts in Nigeria, war in Iraq, manslaughter in South Africa, and you can’t just help but wonder, why? Every day so many lose loved ones and family and all around the world many are in search for an end to all sufferings and an explanation to their pain and in so doing, look to different things for solutions. This should not be the same with the God-child.

Our lives are written out in the Word of God.

It’s amazing to note that our Lord Jesus spoke about these things thousands of years ago. It’s paramount however to note, that the pestilences, earthquakes, natural disasters are not about to end. Our opening text says,

“…see that you are not frightened or troubled for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”

Jesus tells us that amidst all of this, we are not to be perplexed or startled. He didn’t just tell us about the end but He went ahead to tell us what to expect.

Better days are not ahead for one that doesn’t know the Lord, but for the God-child only better things are in store for him.

Proverbs 4:18 says,

“But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

The AMP rendering says, “But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day [to be prepared].”

Your path is already set to shine brighter and brighter till the day of our Lord.

Realize that sorrow and fear is not for the one that knows the Lord. Refuse to be disturbed, instead rest in the knowledge that the Father has predestined your reign.

Better days are ahead for you. Bask in the light of this truth today. Irrespective of what your challenge says, BETTER DAYS ARE AHEAD FOR YOU!
