“And Moses made a serpent of bronze and put it on a pole, and if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of bronze [attentively, expectantly, with a steady and absorbing gaze], he lived.” Numbers 21:9 (AMP)
Our opening scripture is a prototype of the life we ought to live in this dispensation as God’s children. The children of Israel sinned against God and were bitten by serpents. After they cried to the Lord, they were instructed to look at the serpent of bronze in order for them to live. The serpent was hung on a pole and if they were to just look at the serpent, they lived.
In the same manner as the new creation, we have got to look up to Jesus to live out the Life He has called us into.
In our world today, life will want to demand your attention, but the success of your Christian life is dependent on looking up to Jesus, the author and finisher of your Faith.

We have always examined the above scripture.
And it’s important to note that our opening text transcribes the word ‘behold‘ as written in the KJV to mean look and amplifies it as: “…looked to… [attentively, expectantly with a steady and absorbing gaze]…” Look at that!
Beholding the Word of God means to look to the Word despite the reality of any situation attentively, full of expectation, steadily; without wavering.
If you are to successfully come out of any challenging situation, these four qualities are necessary. You’ve got to look to Jesus (The Word) with all intensity.
You’ve got to realize that your help is in the Word of God and nowhere else. Little wonder Hebrews 12:2 says,
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”
The success of your Christian faith is dependent on how well you look to God’s Word. Stop looking around and look up to God.
The answers you seek are in His Word.
Be attentive, be expectant and steadily absorb all you can till you become one with the Word. The pressures you face are too little to conquer you. Look to Jesus today and live!
DECLARATION:
My help comes from God. I focus on God’s Word rather than the challenges. I’m finishing strong.
