Daily devotional for today by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 8th August, 2017) – How do you respond?

“But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us to triumph (as trophies of Christ’s victory) and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.” 2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP

The first approach the Godchild has got to have in the face of challenging circumstances is to understand what God’s idea is for his life. This is the very first thing.

It’s amazing the amount of fear many of God’s children show when they are faced with challenges; forgetting that fear is not a characteristic of the Spirit of God that the Godchild possesses. They begin to take steps or make decisions by reason of fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 tells us,

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love, and of a sound mind.” 

What you cannot see from the Word of God, no matter what you do, God cannot produce it in your life.

The scripture shows us something significant in the story of the twelve spies. 2 returned with a good report while the remaining 10 came back with bad reports. They all saw the same things but came with different reports. The Canaanites were giants and men of great renown. The story shows us something very significant, that the way the children of Israel saw themselves became the way, the Canaanites saw them.

What others see as the end of the road should be your starting point. If we don’t discover these things for ourselves and fix your gaze on it then we would become natural.
