“And the Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy: and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?” John 10:33-34

This was the statement of our Lord Jesus. When He made this statement the Pharisees couldn’t understand or grasp what He was talking about. How could a man proclaim himself as God? It was a preposterous declaration, blasphemy.

You see the Pharisees and the Jews only knew of one God. They lived in fear of Him. His name was the name that could not be mentioned. He was a consuming fear. So, they lived under the law and served Him they best way they could. When they sinned against Him, He punished them but when they were in trouble and they cried to Him, He delivered them. This was the one they worshiped and believed and so the idea of a man being equal to their God was an outlandish claim. It wasn’t possible.

But Jesus maintained “ye are gods”.

This was beyond an assumption, it was a statement of fact.

The birth of Christ brought the life of God to man. For this reason was God manifested in the flesh; for man to be able reveal himself as God.

The Godchild now is not just a servant or a friend of God but the Godchild is the son of God. For this reason Romans 8:19 tells;

“for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

The ESV version puts it thus,

“for the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God”.

This is who you are; the son of God.

The world looks up to you for salvation. But sadly, the heir as long as he is a child is nothing different from a servant even though he is lord of all. Grow into Sonship today.

Refuse to live a casual Christian life. Stand up today to the call of who you are.

I declare today, that I am the son of God. I walk in the realities of who I am. I am a king over life. Hallelujah!
