Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 28th AUG, 2017) – Accessing the supernatural

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

The realm of the supernatural is the realm of God (the kingdom of God). In this present generation, a lot of Christians have been made to believe that the realm of the supernatural is non-existent. Others believe that it is a very far realm that cannot be accessed by a Godchild. This is a complete fallacy.

You see, the supernatural is not a very far place for the Godchild. It takes just 3 S’s for a Godchild to access the realm of the supernatural.

The first is SALVATION. This is the start point of your walk with God. It is the first step to partnership with God. God never forces Himself on a man. He requires His willingness and obedience because it is a partnership agreement and both parties have got to be fully involved. Our opening text shows us that the capacity to ‘see’ the supernatural depends on salvation.

The next step to accessing the supernatural is SEPARATION. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says,

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you”. 

The MSG rendering says,

“So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.” 

God would always require separation from you if He’s going to use you. The separation process could be easy and could also be hurtful. God wants you to separate yourself from your past (your old ways of life, friends, dressing, etc.) The AMP translation refers to being separated as being severed. You sever a thing by cutting it off. It might be painful, but it just has to be done.

The third step is SANCTIFICATION. This is the process of dedication. Sanctification would be the foundation for the release of the supernatural. With these 3 S’s, you can effectively and victoriously live the supernatural life here on earth.
