Sunday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 10th SEPT, 2017) – Good success

Share this story:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8

How I love the Word of God!

No one on earth knows how to communicate better than God.

Through our opening text, we see that there is a good kind of success. This invariably means there is also a bad kind of success. Not all success and prosperity comes from God.

When God prospers a man it is a good success. God always prospers in the right way. Proverbs 10:22 says,

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

This scripture tells us that the blessing (success) which is not from God always has sorrow tagged to it. Without God, it is impossible to have a good success.

God would never allow you cheat or exploit others as a means of becoming prosperous. God’s kind of success would allow you look like a fool to the world.

The root of your success in life ought to be the Word of God.

If whatever you do does not have a foundation on the Word of God, you can never have that good success. God doesn’t measure success by how wealthy you are on earth; No! He uses his Word as a yardstick to measure success.

Without the Word of God, you can never have that good success. Everything you need to succeed is engrafted in God’s Word.

The Word of God is wisdom in Itself. Hard wisdom is the foundation for success. With the wisdom of God, you get everything.

1 Corinthians 1:30 says,

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Wisdom is a force.

How wise a man would be and how far he would move in life is dependent on how much of the Word he has consumed. The more you receive the Word, the wiser you become. Allow the wisdom you get from the Word of God direct you into your good success.

DECLARATION:
God’s wisdom leads me to my success. My success is founded on the Word of God.
