And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession. Deuteronomy 2:9

The proceeding verses of our opening text says,

The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims. (Deuteronomy 2:10-11).

The Moabites were not the people of God; but He favored them over the children of Israel at this point. He warned the children of Israel not to distress; that is, trouble the Moabites because if they did, the Moabites would have the victory. He saw something in them that was lacking in the children of Israel. The Moabites saw through God’s eyes.

You see, God did not see these Emims as giants; our opening text says they were accounted to be giants. Men gave this account, not God. They were called giants by men. But the amazing part of it is that the Moabites did not also see the Emims as giants, they saw them as mere men who could be defeated.

The Moabites saw the Emims the same way God saw them; they saw through God’s eyes.
Sadly, the children of Israel saw themselves as grasshoppers in the eyes of these same men. Learn to see through your eyes of faith.

God responds only to faith; He doesn’t respond to emotions. He wants you to also see the way He does. Until you begin to see like God, you would not be victorious.

Until you see things the way God sees them, you would not be able to achieve them. Let your perspective be aligned to that of God.

Take a look at the little shepherd boy, David. How insane it must have seemed to see him contending with a fearless giant. The amazing part is, He defeated the giant. Until you see every challenge you face through the eyes of God, you would not emerge victorious.

DECLARATION:
I see through God’s eyes. I do not see failure, defeat and unproductivity; I see success only. I see like my Father.
