Sunday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 31st DEC, 2017) – Your faith; your victory

Share this story:

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:29

All through the gospels of our Lord Jesus such phrases as the underlined part of our opening text are common. The church has been fascinated for a long time with the subject of faith, and rightly so. Our Lord Jesus tells us,

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, thou shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20.

I often tell you that the Lord never says anything just to entice you. If He ever says a thing, it is because what He has said is the truth i.e reality of the situation.

Your faith is the reality of your victory. We see this also in 1 John 5:4

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world; even our faith.

This can never be overemphasized; your victory is your faith. A faithless Christian is a defeated Christian.

When a man does not do or abide by his belief, that man never believed in the first place. Because, you see, when you are so convinced of a particular thing, you will walk in the light of your convictions. This is why a man without faith cannot please God.

Faith is action-oriented, this means that faith does as faith says. It is that corresponding action/response to the Word of God by a man’s spirit. This action is born of of the unwavering conviction of the realities of what the physical eyes cannot see.

Walk in faith today, and walk in the victories afforded you in Christ Jesus.

I am victorious because I have faith. I walk in the light of the glorious realities of my God life. Hallelujah

Hebrews 11; James 2:16-21
