Friday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 12th JAN. 2018) – Access Grace

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 1 Peter 1:2

The subject of grace is one of the most controversial themes in Christendom. A lot of Christians are yet to fully grasp the definition and power of grace. Grace is everything for us as new creations. This is because the new creation life was birthed on the premise of grace.

Grace is what introduced the new creation life to man; we are birthed out of grace and would remain engrafted in Christ because of grace. Grace brought eternal life to man. Titus 3:7 says,

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 

Sadly, so many Christians are ignorant of the power of grace.

While those who understand the concept of grace are now frustrating the grace of God. Apostle Paul said Galatians 2:20-21,

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

For every time you frustrate the grace of God, you automatically frustrate the sacrifice of Christ. Grace is an unmerited favour.

It is a divine influence upon the heart that reflects in the life of a man, and even in his environment. This unmerited favour became so as a result of the sacrifice of Christ.

How then do we access grace since Christ isn’t physically present anymore? Let’s do a little mathematics now; If Grace = Christ (Romans 5:15-20) And Christ = Word of God (John 1:14) Cross-multiplying, you see that Christ equates itself, and Grace becomes equal to the Word of God.

The grace of God is embedded in the Word of God. The much of God’s grace you have access to is
directly proportional to how much of God’s Word you have in your heart. Quit praying for grace; it is already given to you. Grace can only be multiplied; not through prayers, but through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus; the Word.

So when you feel down and depressed, and in dire need of grace, go to the Word; access grace! Exploit the grace of God by using your mouth (Joshua 1:8, Psalms 45:1-3)

DECLARATION
Thank you, Lord because your grace is sufficient for me. I take advantage of your grace; even as I declare your Word over my life!
