Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 27th JAN. 2018) – The Process Of Success (2)

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2

Success is the sincere desire of all. Every man has a hankering and an unquenchable thirst to be successful. But do you know that just 35% of this lot eventually becomes successful? This is because the majority believed that being successful would come miraculously.

They want to get to the place of success yet they refuse to step a foot out of their door. They are so relaxed; never going out of their comfort zone, believing that God would just pour down hundreds of dollars from the heaven. These set of Christians are both naïve and foolish.

You see, God is a patterned God. He is a God of principles. Everything comes with patterns; and until you diligently adhere to the patterns and structures that He has put in place, you would never benefit from Him.

The first and most important structure that you must observe to get that good success is getting something to do. Remember the account of the children of Israel? When they were in the wilderness, God provided for them through manna and quails falling from the sky.

But notice that as soon as they got into the Promised Land; the land flowing with milk and honey, the provision through manna and quail ceased. Instead, what God told them to do was to get involved in something; and that He has prospered and blessed the works of their hands.

Deuteronomy 2:7 says,

For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.

This isn’t a promise but a structure. The first step in your journey to success this New Year is by getting something to do. Ephesians 1:3 says,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

The works of your hand are the only medium through which your spiritual blessings can be transferred to the physical realm. God is not concerned about how little it may be; He just needs you to get involved in something godly. This is the first step in your journey to the place of success.

DECLARATION
I refuse to be idle and halfhearted. I am walking by God’s structures and principles. The works of my hands are blessed!
