“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth
the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.” Exodus 13:1-2

For those who are consistent with the study of the Ambassadors Diet, you would notice that we have been focusing on principles necessary for our increase and development. This is because, this year, God is particular about increasing us.

He has designed this year for your increase, if and only if, you would adhere to His principles. One of the principles we would be looking at today is one that has brought about quite a lot of controversies in Christendom.

This is simply the devil being presented in different forms to rob Christians whose roots are not so deep in the Word of their blessings. God has put in place principles that everyone who belongs to His Kingdom must strictly adhere to, so as to get that blessing and increase they desire.

Today, we would be focusing on the principle of first fruits. I have always said this; every New Year to God is a new ground. God expects us to renew our covenant with Him. The principle of first fruit is not an avenue for the body of Christ to steal from you.

It is a declaration of your harvest throughout the year. Little wonder scripture says in Romans 11:16,

For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

The principle of first fruit is not an ‘Old Testament activity’.

The Old Testament is the foundation for which the New Testament was built on. No man moves into a building and then says, the foundation of that building is no longer relevant, so he’ll take it out. It is impossible!

Without the foundation, the building cannot stand. The principle of first fruit is a pillar in the foundation of blessings. If you scrape it off, you scrape off your blessing.

The word, firstborn as used in our opening text is synonymous with our first fruits. Your first fruit is the first of your increase. God wants you to sanctify your first fruits. He wants you to set it aside for Him.

He doesn’t want us to just give our first fruit; He wants us to sanctify it. Before you can sanctify a thing, you must position your heart on it. Your heart must be stayed on it to be able to set it aside.

Your attitude determines the sanctity of your first fruits. God is not concerned about the act of obedience; rather, He is concerned about the way of the act of obedience.

God seeks a perfect heart. A perfect heart bears the best fruit. Your first fruit is a principle of a financial increase!

I observe every of God’s principles for financial increase. I choose to honour God. I am abounding in every good work.
