Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous his thoughts, let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God for He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7 NKJV
Unfortunately many are held bound by the mistakes of their past. I have spent so much time counselling lots of people who are trapped in their past.

They have lost precious opportunities and moments in their present lives because they couldn’t let go of mistakes that where made years, weeks, or days ago by their parents, trusted friend, family member, teacher, boss, spouse and so on.
And many times, they cannot forgive themselves for mistakes they made years ago. And I have found several times, that no matter the potential such a person has, the weights of unforgiveness will keep him bound, sick and stagnant until he lets go of every hurt and wrong.
You’ve got to recognize that irrespective of the mistakes you’ve made, God forgives. In Matthew 5:48, Our Lord Jesus says,
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
When we think about perfection, our minds go to Words like flawless, faultless and impeccable. But our definition of perfection is influenced by our culture and upbringing. Several times, what is seen as bad for one person is good for the other.

Your definition of what is right, is you analyzing what you think is right by your own self without consulting God to know how He sees it. When God talks about perfection, He is talking about maturity. We see that in Ephesians 4:11-13.
God is not interested in your past; He is interested in your future. He needs you to grow up to the place of maturity and son-ship; to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. This is in no way a license to sin, but a pathway to life.
Refuse to let the devil keep you bound in condemnation, hurt, anger or malice. These things don’t just affect your spirit; they affect your mind and in extension your body over time. You were made for more.
DECLARATION
I let go of every mistake and hurt in my past. I forgive everyone that has offended me. I am moving on to perfection. Thank You, Jesus!
