For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written,
the just shall live by faith Romans 1:17

The same way the body is kept alive by the Spirit; our faith is also kept alive by our workings. Once you withdraw workings from your faith, your faith process would become lifeless. Your faith would be perfected by the introduction of your works.

James 2:22 says,

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Your faith must be backed up by your workings. It is just like a mathematical equation. You cannot just write down the answer without showing the workings.

When I was an academic tutor, I realized that most times, the answer carries a lesser mark than the workings. So a child could get the answer, but miss the entire solution and would still fail. But another could get the solution and miss out on the answer but still pass.

The workings of your faith are extremely important. But today, we would be focusing on another principle Abraham observed that resulted in Him becoming the Father of Faith; the principle of CONFESSION.

Romans 4:17 says,

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

This was the Word God gave to Him and Abraham ran with it. Take a look at verses 19 and 20 of the same scripture:

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God

Abraham didn’t let unbelief creep in; rather, He strengthened his faith. This, he did by his continuous confession.

God instructed that His name be changed; and at that time, they didn’t have any form of media where you could just do a public name change. Abraham had to let everyone he knew understand that his name had been changed.

For every time he said the name, Abraham, he was propelling himself into the actualization of the promise of God concerning him. What has God said about you? What are the promises He has made to you this year?

Begin to confess them. Let the whole world hear about it. The faith process entails you don’t have to see it to say it; rather, you say it to see it.

DECLARATION
Lord, I confess your Word over my life. I maintain the right confessions at all times. My faith is growing from strength to strength.
