Thursday Daily Devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 6th DEC, 2018) – The Business of God

Share this story:

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. Romans 12:11

It’s important to see things the way God see them.

You see, God sees the propagation of the Gospel, and the expansion of His Kingdom as a business. The reason is because the same way profit cannot be subtracted from a business enterprise, you cannot separate profit from God’s Kingdom.

In fact, the sustenance of a business is dependent on its growth and profitability. If a business is not making profit, then it is failing.

The work of God is a business, which we must nurture to ensure it grows, and produces.

The same time, finance, and passion you invest in that start-up business to make it a multi million dollars corporations, must also be invested in God’s Kingdom to make it grow.

Until you see Christianity as a business, you would not be able to meet up to God’s expectations.

The realms of the Spirit is all about growth; either positively or negatively. In the Spiritual realm, you are either growing or making progress, or you are decelerating, and gradually dying off. Both realms are all about profit and increment; or loss and decrement.

So think; are you one of those propelling God’s Kingdom to increase; or are you among the lot instilling loss to His Kingdom?

You see, the same way an organization would sack a staff that is deterring their growth, God
would also cut out those that are altering the profit of His business.

This is why Jesus said in John 15:2,

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Any Christian whose life is inflicting loss to God’s Kingdom is a curse.

You see some Christians who are not interested in serving God, although they come to church. These ones have made it their responsibility to cause a ripple between other brethren in God’s house.

Examine yourself; if your life as a Christian isn’t leading to an increase in the Kingdom, you are already failing.

Your Christian life is a business that must be productive. The business of God ought to be your number one priority.

DECLARATION
I take God’s business personally. I refuse to be that Christian whose life would be a loss to God’s Kingdom. I would not fail God.
