The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned proceedings on the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, indefinitely.
The Tribunal adjourned the proceedings at the resumed sitting on Monday in Abuja, pending the determination of the application filed at the Court of Appeal.

Proceedings resumed with two out of the three judges at the Tribunal in attendance.
They were CCT Chairman, Justice Danladi Umar, and Justice Julie Enabor, who ordered the suspension of Justice Onnoghen.
Justice Williams Atanze was absent, and no reason was given for his absence.
The prosecutor informed the Tribunal that the business of the day ought to be the hearing of the application on jurisdiction.
In view of the order of the Court of Appeal, the prosecution, however, sought for an adjournment until the hearing and determination of the appeal court.
The defence did not object to the pleas of the prosecution.
It, thereafter, asked the Tribunal to adjourn the case sine die, until the appeal court was done with the matter.

Meanwhile, the defence said it has been asking for the records of the court since January 23, 2019, and it has not been made available.
