Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Super Eagles assistant captain Ahmed Musa will miss today’s friendly match against Senegal.
Rohr, while speaking with SportingLife said Musa is sick and will not take part in the game.
“Musa is sick as a result of this he will not play against Senegal,” he said.
Henry Onyekuru and right-back Shehu Abdullahi will also miss the AFCON warm-up friendly match against Senegal due to ill-health.
“We have done a lot of training here in Ismaila but not for three players who are sick today and they are Ahmed Musa like I told you and Shehu Abdullahi and also Henry Onyekuru,” he added.
Coach Rohr also gave update on Oghenekaro Etebo and Chidozie Awaziem who were down with cold while training in Asaba, Delta State.
“Etebo and Awaziem have recovered from illness and they have been training with us.
“So they are available for selection for the big match against Africa’s best team Senegal,” Rohr said.
