The immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha on Thursday told his successor, Emeka Ihedioha, that he was not declared the governor of the state by the Independent National Electoral Commissioner to fight him.
Okorocha, who was reacting to the take over of Eastern Palm University, Ogboko by the state government in a statement issued in Owerri by his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, said that the committee had no right to scrap the universities and polytechnics he established while was the governor of the state.
Okorocha said that scrapping of universities and polytechnics he established as governor “showed the speed and zeal with which the government of the day wants to destroy all the landmark projects of the All Progressives Congress government in the state which Senator Okorocha had headed.”
Okorocha explained that the Eastern Palm university, Ogboko was built through Public Private Partnership arrangement.
