Coach Gernot Rohr has replaced injured Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi with PAOK’s Anderson Esiti who last played for Nigeria in 2016.
Ndidi who picked up a hamstring injury in training last week and missed Leicester City’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Saturday, will not featured for the Super Eagles against Ukraine.
Nigeria will battle Ukraine in next month’s international break. The match will take place on Tuesday 10th of September at the Dnipro Arena.
Also now included in the team is Lokomotiv Moscow defender, Brian Idowu, who last featured for the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He completes the team’s 24 players list for the Ukraine friendly.
