Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has expelled reports going round on social media that he is critically sick and that he is dead.
The rumour began after Chiwetalu Agu posted a picture of himself looking a bit skinny.
Suspected fraudsters used the particular picture to start asking the general public for money, that the actor is very sick and needs prayers and money.
The actor then reacted on Instagram, dismissing the sick and death rumours.
“Good morning my people. Please disregard any foolish post on Facebook by anybody saying I am sick and soliciting for money, I’m in a perfectly good health condition, I will never ask anybody for a dime neither am I on Facebook. Signed Chief Chiwetalu Agu” he wrote.
Chiwetalu Agu again on Monday, posted some other screenshots of people that posted about his rumoured death and angrily dismissed it.
“Yesterday I got over 500 calls from friends, fans, and family who want to know if the stories that they read on Facebook were TRUE.I’mm NOT ON FACEBOOK. Now I don’t know who started this nonsense stories of them being DEAD NOT ME but one thing I know is that all the people that started this story and posted it on Facebook will DIE before me in the name Chukwu Okike Abiama. Iseeeeeeeeeee
