Cybercrime most wanted list: Nigerians mad at FBI for emphasising on Nigerians

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in America has released a list of 79 people on their most wanted list for cybercrime offenses.

In the list titled “cyber’s Most Wanted” released by the FBI on their website, 37 of people are from the Arab nations, 20 are Chinese, 16 are Russia and 6 are Nigerians.

Below are countries on the FBI  Most Wanted list for cybercrime offense;

Russia: 28

Iran: 26

Nigeria: 6

China: 15

National not specified: 4

Romania: 2

Pakistani 2

North Korea: 1

Latvia: 1

Syrian: 1

Vietnamese: 1

India: 1

Swedish: 1

According to the FBI, the 6 Nigerians on the list were allegedly involved in “Business Email Compromise (BEC) scheme wey defraud over 70 different businesses for United States resulting in combined losses of over $6,000,000 USD”.

Their names are;

Alex Afolabi Ogunshakin AKA Alex Afolabi, Alex Ogunshakin

Felix Osilama Okpoh AKA : Felix Okpoh, Felix Osilama, “Junior”

Abiola Ayorinde Kayode AKA Abiola Kayode, “ABK”, “Ginger”

Nnamdi Orson Benson AKA Nnamdi Benson, “Namo”

Micheal Olorunyomi AKA Ayomide Michael, Michael Olorunyomi, “Ayo”, “A.Y.”

The FBI took to Twitter to ask people to find the Nigerians and not mentioning the other nationals, didn’t go well for Nigerians as they react on Twitter.
